Measure three places
Record the item’s height, width and depth; the narrowest doorway opening; and the stair width. Then note ceiling height at landings and tight turns.
Look for removable parts
Feet, legs, doors and cushions may come off. Photograph the hardware and share the item model if you know it. Do not dismantle anything that feels unstable.
Protect the route
Remove small rugs, lamps and wall decor. A clear landing gives the crew room to rotate furniture without brushing the wall.
Access note to send
Include the number of steps, straight or turning stairs, exterior door location, distance to parking and whether the driveway will be open.
